The much awaited game against Heriots is over and the expected favourites won. But it was a much tougher game than the 38 – 12 score suggests. The first half was closely fought with Exiles in command in the forwards and Heriot´s looking the sharper in the backs. Before Exiles could adapt to the pace of the game, Heriot´s were 14 points up after 10 min, but for the rest of the half Exiles had the edge. Solid Heriot´s defence kept Exiles out of their 22 and errors nullified their scoring chances. Finally, all they had to show for their efforts was a converted try after a strong run by Sean Burke. That made it 14 -7 to the visitors att half time and some hope that the Exiles, traditionally strong in the second half, could spring a major surprise. But it was not to be. A very weak defensive kick saw the whole of the Exiles´ team offside and from the ensuing penalty Heriot´s passed slickly to get in at the corner. after 50 seconds. På damsidan har vi fem lag som kämpar om fyra slutspelsplatser. Det stod 19 lika då 10” var kvar, men det blev Vänersborg som drog det längsta strået och vann 26 – 19 över Skåne Ladies. Enköping fortsatte att rada upp 5 poängs segrar denna gång med 24 – 16 mot Göteborg. Enköping hade för det mesta en betryggande ledning men två försök från Göteborg på slutet snyggade till siffrorna. Enköping och Exiles är i delad ledning och kommer att gå till slutspelet. Vänersborg blir nog 3:a men det blir strid på kniven mellan Göteborg och förra årets mästare Skåne Ladies.
Den lilla Div 1-serien har förstörts av Uppsalas w.o., men det hindrade inte att Hammarby spelade en tuff match mot serieledande Erikslund. Det blev 22 – 10 där Erikslund inkasserade sin andra förlust i rad. Hammarby hade en knapp ledning från strax efter början och Erikslund kunde aldrig minska luckan.
Till sist kampen mellan treorna och frivilligt nedflyttade Göteborg., främst för att ge alla viss sysselsättning. Det blev lika i halvtid men Troján lyckades kämpa sig till en 20 – 15 seger. Dock inte bra att halva laget är från Karlskrona Södra.
