Eleven games played last weekend, although with few surprising results. In the Men´s Allsvenska, Enköping had a solid win over a shaky Hammarby. It´s pretty clear Enköping are the third best team at the moment. Göteborg scraped together 16 players for the trip to Pingvin with, as usual, several of their better players missing. Of course they conceded almost 100 points. Södertälje turned up with 14 men, 15 by half time, and were 106 – 0 down with 10 minutes to go against Exiles. By then, both teams had had enough and the game was ended by common consent. With two 100 point games and a 50-pointer, the excitement  in Allsvenskan is not overpowering. One round to go.

Partial second round for the Ladies. Comfortable wins for home teams Exiles and Enköping against the two combined teams Skåne Ladies and West Göta respectively. There could be further disruptions when the European U18 tournament is played in a couple of weeks; expect maximum conflict between club and union representatives, as per usual.

In Div. 1 N Trojan took 60 points off Karlstad on the road, but Exiles B still win the title. Karlstad don´t have the easiest of geographical positions and have been “timed out” in two postponed matches against Exiles B. thus giving walkovers, although the B´s plan to make the trip in October.

For their last regular season game Exiles B turned up with 24 players while farmer team Erikslund had  11. They were duly lent players and five Mabons ranging in age from 17 – 56 were divided between the teams. After 2 x 25” the score was around 31 – 12 to Exiles and the league concluded.

Spartacus and Kalmar Södra, the top two teams in Div 1 S, also met to round off the league, with Kalmar Södra proving too strong. Exiles B will now play Spartacus in the play-offs while Troján will meet Kalmar Södra. Both games could be interesting.

And a word of praise for Div. 2 which has one game to play. Berserkers, who have won very few games since they were founded, have come out on top with four wins out of five, while both Katrineholm and Sandviken seem to be getting better established. Attila, now celebrating their 70th anniversary, have lost twice to the Berserkers and seem to be in a more precarious state.
